So Lauren saves the world one campaign at a time while I...well you know you know what I do. Here's an excerpt from an email:

As many of you know, I am working on the No on Prop 85 campaign to defeat parental notification.  Prop 85 threatens the health and safety of California’s most vulnerable teens and a woman’s right to choose.  The proponents of Prop 85, who aptly named their campaign committee “Life on the Ballot”, are explicit in their real political agenda – they view this initiative as “the first opportunity since Roe v. Wade to pass a baby-saving law in California – a constitutional amendment that the courts cannot overturn”. 

The initiative was put on the ballot by Jim Holman, a rich San Diego publisher who has been arrested for protesting in front of Planned Parenthood.  The campaign’s “official” spokesman, Albin Rhomberg (the creepiest guy you have ever seen), has video-taped and photographed pro-choice women (including me at a press conference earlier this week) for the last 15 years – and we don’t know why.  These people are serious.  They’re scary.  And they won’t stop until they take away our rights.

How many languages can you speak?  Which languages can you read or understand?

I'm fairly fluent in English and I can even muster complete sentences here and there. I can read and write enough Latin to get through the most boring poetry ever written in iambic pentameter. I have a halfway decent sense for how long words will be in Japanese, French or German so hopefully this app won't look like ass in foreign languages. I'm told I know speak Russian with a terrible American accent and I'm sure the same is true for Hebrew. Unfortunately I can only speak Hebrew and can't read a lick, but it sounds like Andrew could read me the lines and I could tell him what he's saying.
